"As a black woman, I felt there were things I experienced I did not necessarily feel comfortable discussing with other people. There were resources I needed that I did not have access to."

S.H.E. is a safe space for women to express how they feel and share what they are experiencing without judgment. Our mission is to assist women to overcome various setbacks by providing them with the support, resources, and empowerment they need to build confidence, make healthy lifestyle choices, and pursue meaningful work.

Ms. Veronica Joyner, affectionately known as Roni, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Social work from Bryn Mawr College, specializing in behavioral health. She is always looking for innovative ways to help other women.

Veronica is the CEO and founder of Sisterhood Healing Empowerment, Inc. also known as S.H.E.  S.H.E. is a non-profit organization founded in October of 2021 and continues to be a growing resource for women to be overwhelmed with support, empowerment, and the confidence they need to make healthy lifestyle choices and pursue meaningful work. This organization is a place that was created for women to recognize their value and worth.

As a young adult, Veronica did not allow her struggles with insecurities, domestic abuse, low self-esteem, parental loss, single parenting, toxic relationships, depression, and divorce to define whom she would become as a woman. She relied on God, personal grit, and sisterhood to turn her pain into purpose.

S.H.E. has collaborated with several profound organizations within the Philadelphia community and surrounding suburbs to provide resources to families in need. Veronica has led and facilitated various workshops that address topics related to Women’s Empowerment and Mental Health.  In July of 2022, S.H.E. launched its very first “Unspoken Conversations.” This is a platform for an intimate group of women to discuss topics that often go unmentioned and are perceived as taboo. Unspoken Conversations was formed to build community among women and to provide normalcy to women-related concerns. Veronica and the S.H.E. team want women to know that they are not alone when faced with tumultuous experiences.

S.H.E. is an unbiased safe space for all women to receive resources that will provide spiritual, emotional and mental well-being and healing. The goal is for every woman to become the very best version of themselves.
